This family is known as the Grass Moth family and contains an array of different looking moths, some very distinct such as the Small Magpie, others are rather bland and less distinctive.
In 2022 we recorded out first Box Moth, an Asian non-native and a nearby neighbour informed us that their box tree was nearly destroyed by larvae in a single year.
