Families: Glyphipterigidae, Gracillariidae, Hepialidae, Lasiocampidae

Family: Glyphipterigidae

Just the one species so far, and a rather common one at that, the Leek Moth.

Family: Gracillariidae

One of our favourite families of micros, the genus Caloptilia of which we’ve just the one species recorded are almost glam rock in appearance.

Family: Hepialidae

Known as the Swift Moths, this small but rather distinctive family of moths is always nice to find.

Family: Lasiocampidae

The Eggar moths, many of which are active as adults by day. We would love to record the December Moth but so far no luck. Apparently as adults these moths cannot feed.
