Family: Notodontidae

A large family of large moths (macros), one that contains some of the most interesting patterns, especially the Puss Moth and Sallow Kitten.

It also includes the Buff-tip moth, one of the master of disguises of the moth world (…and there are many).

Lesser Swallow Prominent – Pheosia gnoma (Family: Notodontidae)
Swallow Prominent – Pheosia tremula (Family: Notodontidae)
Pale Prominent – Pterostoma palpina (Family: Notodontidae)
Coxcomb Prominent – Ptilodon capucina (Family: Notodontidae)
