One of a handful of Piratula species found in Great Britain. This species is often associated with wet habitats and was located in our small wetland patch.

Another species where the female carries the egg sack for its protection. A common species of Southern England so not surprised to find it in the garden. We think we had for some time been mistaking this from a distance for a male Spotted Wolf Spider, but once we saw it carrying an egg sack and realised it was female and looked nothing like the female Spotted Wolf Spider, we realised we have another species in the garden.
