Ophiodesmus albonanus

The recording below was taken down a stereo microscope as these guys are tiny. About 50 seconds into the video we switch to a wider view to capture an Oribatid Mite on the centre left of the screen. Anyone familiar with these mites will appreciate just how small these guys are.

Millipedes differ from Centipedes by having two pairs of legs per body segment, not just the one. As it happens Millipedes and Centipedes are not as closely related as people (including ourselves) believed. Centipedes are carnivorous, have venom and hunt prey. Millipedes survive on a vegetarian diet for the most part.
