
Although nowhere near as diverse as the animal kingdom, plants do dominate the biomass of the garden and have an influencing effect on soil chemistry, light availability, hydrology and also act as a main source of food for much of the other wildlife found in the Garden.
Classification of plants has altered considerably in recent years. For now we will divide the plants into the following categories, the Monocotyledons (one seed leaf species), the Dicotyledons (two seed leaf species), the Ferns and the Bryophytes (mosses). Click the relevant image below.
